About Carmel

The classic warmth of Carmel, symbolized by the lamp post lined drive, is always apparent,
drawing new faces in and telling the story of its past. In 1947, the story of Carmel Country
Club began when a group of businessmen envisioned a new golf and social club for Charlotte.

In the over 60 years since that vision was realized, Carmel has grown to become the foremost
family club of the Queen City offering the best in amenities and activities: two 18-hole golf courses, 11 tennis courts, two resort style swimming pools and water slides, and a 3,000 square foot fitness center. Our Clubhouse contains seven meeting and function rooms and a newly renovated Dining Room. Our Ballroom can accomodate up to 350 people. Carmel has earned recognition as a Platinum Club of America, a Five Star Private Club and was named
the number 13 private club in America by Club Leaders Forum.

Carmel appreciates all these fine recognitions, but we take our greatest pride in our family
atmosphere and all the wonderful times that members have shared over the years. Carmel is a symbol of tradition in Charlotte, a place where the whole family loves to be, and everyone feels more at home.

Vision

"A visible and ongoing pursuit of excellence in facilities, programs and member service where golf, dining, wellness,
swimming and tennis combine to make Carmel a place for fellowship and the country club of choice for families in Greater Charlotte."
